As the webmaster of Titan Radio, I had the privilege of representing our station at the 2023 Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) Awards in New York City. It was an exciting opportunity to network with other college radio stations and attend informative workshops, but the highlight of the trip was being nominated as finalists in two categories: Best Mobile App and Best DJ Show Promo.
Although we didn’t win in either category, it was an honor just to be considered among the top 3-5% of college radio stations in the nation. As the only representative from our station at the awards ceremony, I was proud to see our name listed alongside other prestigious institutions and recognized for our hard work and dedication to producing quality content.
As the webmaster, I was especially pleased to see our Best Mobile App nomination, as it reflected our efforts to create an accessible and user-friendly platform for our listeners to access our content. We’ve put in countless hours to develop and improve the app, so being recognized as a finalist in this category was a validation of our efforts.
Similarly, our Best DJ Show Promo nomination showcased the creativity and talent of our on-air personalities, as well as our production team. We strive to create engaging and entertaining content for our listeners, and this nomination proved that our efforts are paying off.
While we didn’t come home with any trophies, I’m confident that the experience and recognition we gained from being finalists at the IBS Awards will motivate us to continue producing quality content and improving our station as a whole. As the webmaster of Titan Radio, I couldn’t be prouder of our team and the dedication they’ve shown to our station. Here’s to another successful year!
