Going to Niteharts on October 11–12 at Snapdragon Stadium, day two was easily the one I was most excited for. The lineup alone was enough to make it feel unreal. Knock2 b2b Zedd and ISOxo b2b Skrillex headlining the same festival isn’t something you see often. All four are huge in EDM right now, so just knowing they were closing out the festival made the whole weekend different, like everyone in the crowd knew they were about to experience something special.

When Knock2 b2b Zedd played their set on the first day, the energy was crazy. The production of the show with pyro and lighting was really cool, and there wasn’t really a break where the crowd slowed down. Their sounds blended better than I expected, with Knock2’s bass house and trap style tracks mixing into Zedd’s melodic house style.

On the second day, ISOxo b2b Skrillex took things even further. Skrillex is someone most people recognize instantly, and seeing him go back to back with ISOxo, who’s been blowing up lately, made the set feel unpredictable. Every drop hit hard and they played a lot of unreleased music which made the crowd stay fully engaged the entire time.

By the end of the weekend it really felt like a once in a lifetime experience. Being in San Diego with thousands of people, all there for the same reason, made the whole thing feel bigger than just another EDM festival. Niteharts wasn’t just another festival it was one of those nights you know you’ll be talking about years later, especially because of how rare it is to see artists like Knock2 b2b Zedd and Skrillex b2b ISOxo headline the same festival.
